Import audio files
You can import audio files from the “File”—”Import” menu, or you can just drag and drop an audio file on an audio track to import.
Please note:
- If you drop an audio file on a singer track, it will be converted to MIDI and lyrics.
- The audio clip will not sync to the current project tempo.
Analyze tempo
After importing an audio track, you can analyze its tempo from the clip viewer.
It takes a few seconds to analyze, then you can set up the tempo manually for the project.
Edit audio clips
Drag on the title bar of an audio clip to change its position.
Drag on the left/right side of an audio clip to extend or shorten it.
To cut a clip, click on the position on that clip and press [Ctrl / Cmd] + [E].
To create fades, drag the little rectangle on the left/right corner of that clip.
Split into stems
Right click on the title bar of an audio clip, select “AI tools” — “Stem Splitter” from the menu.
- If you choose the “Vocal / Instrumental” option, it will split the track into a vocal track and instrumental track below the original track.
- If you choose the “Drums / Bass / Vocal / Others” option, it will split 4 tracks below the original track.
