# Edit Vocal from a Mixed Track

In ACE Studio, you can edit the vocal from an existing song track with AI tools: [Stem Splitter](/ai-tools/stem-splitter.md) & [Vocal to MIDI](/ai-tools/vocal-to-midi.md).

{% step %}

### Split into stems

Import your song track into ACE Studio, use the **2 trakcs: Vocal / Instrumental** mode in [Stem Splitter](/ai-tools/stem-splitter.md), click <kbd>Split</kbd>.

Then, you can get a vocal track and an instrumental track down below the original track.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Convert vocal to MIDI and lyrics <a href="#block-17708bffde8080b28256dffae111887c" id="block-17708bffde8080b28256dffae111887c"></a>

Drag and drop the vocal clip on a singer track.

In the pop up window, select the right language of the vocal track. If there are more than 1 language in the vocal track, please split the clip to make each clip in one language.

Click the <kbd>Convert</kbd> button to start the process.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Edit your vocal <a href="#block-17708bffde808059bf3bc29826e39a45" id="block-17708bffde808059bf3bc29826e39a45"></a>

After the conversion, you have the vocal clip with the recognized lyrics, and an instrumental track.

Now you can start editing on the MIDI clip. (The lyrics recognized from the vocal audio might not be exactly the same, but have at least similar pronunciations.)
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.acestudio.ai/guides/for-newcomers/use-cases/edit-vocal-from-a-mixed-track.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
