In ACE Studio, you can edit the vocal from an existing song track with our build-in tools of “vocal to MIDI and lyrics” and “stem splitter”.
Step1 - Split into stems
Import your song track into ACE Studio, click the “Split into Stems” button from the audio clip viewer.
Select the “Vocal / Instrumental” mode, and click “Split”.
- If the vocal part has reverb or backing vocals in the mixed song track, just check the box to remove them during the splitting.
Then, you can get a vocal track and an instrumental track down below the original track.
Step2 - Convert vocal to MIDI and lyrics
Place the marker-line on the vocal clip, click the “Vocal to MIDI & lyrics” button from the audio clip viewer to open the vocal convertor window.
In the pop up window:
- Select the right language of the vocal track. If there are more than 1 language in the vocal track, please split the clip to make each clip in one language.
- Don’t check the “Use the pitch line from the original vocal” box, unless you don’t want to do any changes on the lyrics.
Click the “Convert” button to start the process.
Step3 - Edit your vocal
After the conversion, you have the MIDI clip with the recognized lyrics, and an instrumental track.
Now you can start editing on the MIDI clip. (The lyrics recognized from the vocal audio might not be exactly the same, but have at least similar pronunciations.)
