Chord Track

You can create a chord track from the track panel of a blank track. Only one chord track can be created in one project.

The chord track will sound chords you create on it.

  • You can mute this track by clicking on the triangle in the track head.

Create Chords

Double click on the grid of the chord track to create a chord clip.

After the creation of a chord clip, 4 chords are preloaded by default.

  • Select one chord, and choose a root key and chord properties down below. The bass key is yellow, you can switch the bass by clicking on the grey “Bass” above the roots.

  • Drag the boundary of a chord to adjust its length

  • Click the “+” to insert a new chord
  • If you want a longer clip, just simply drag the right boundary of the clip out.

Chord Loop

Once you have prepared the chord clip, click the “+” button in the right top corner of the clip to create loops. After the creation of the first loop, you can drag on the right boundary of the last loop to extend the looping.

Use chord progression as background

You can not only use chord progressions as simple instrumental, but also as the chord background in the piano roll.

In the piano roll, open the settings of the scale trigger, switch the scale mode into chord mode. Then you can see the chords as background on the grid.
