Tempo And Time Signature
You can insert tempo or time signature changes in this project. Please refer to Views, panels, windows - Time ruler for more details.
Clips
Clip is the basic container in your project. Each clip has a title with a name on it, and has its body that shows the content inside.
- A MIDI clip can be created by double click on a singer track. You can also import MIDI, musicXML, ufdata, aceclips files as clips.
- An audio clip can be created by recording or importing.

- To select a clip, you can simply click on the title bar or drag to create a selection that covers its whole range. After selected, you can delete, duplicate or copy this clip.
- To move the clip, drag on the title bar. By default, auto snap is on, which means the clip will snap to the grid when being moved. You can hold [Ctrl / Cmd] to cancel the auto snap.
- You can move multiple clips at the same time by creating a selection that covers all clips you want to move. To move those clips, just drag on one of the title bars.
- Both audio clip and MIDI clip can be shortened by dragging on the left / right edge of title bar to inside.
- You can also create a selection to delete a part of a clip.
- After being shortened, you can restore its length by dragging back.
- A MIDI clip can be extended from both sides. Drag on the left / right edge of title bar to outside to extend its length.
- To split a clip, place the marker-line at the position you want to split, and use the split function from right-click menu. (Shortcut key [Ctrl / Cmd] + [E])
- You can split a selection.
- If you want to mute a clip, but don’t want it being deleted. You can deactivate it from right-click menu, or just select this clip and use shortcut key [0].
- Each clip has a color. It follows its track color by default, you can also change its color from right-click menu.
