# Sound Effects

## What Is Sound Effects Generator

Sound Effects Generator is an AI tool for generating sound design elements inside ACE Studio. You can use it to create effects that match your prompt.

## How to Use Sound Effects Generator

<figure><img src="/files/hlylO90DFPgVuaoynsY1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Sound Effects Generator works on a selected region of the timeline. Create a selection first, then open the tool and generate effects for that range.

### Open Sound Effects Generator

There are 2 ways to open Sound Effects:

* Click **Sound Effects** in the main toolbar.
* Select a region, then click <i class="fa-bolt">:bolt:</i>**Sound Effects icon**.

### Generate Sound Effects

1. Click and drag on the Canvas to create a time selection. This defines the length and position for your new sound effect.
2. Type a description of the sound effect you want (e.g., “The torrential rain fell on the cobblestone road.”).
3. Adjust settings
   * Turning **Loop** on will create a seamless loop. This will ensure that the ending blends into the beginning without leaving a noticeable gap.
   * Use the prompt influence setting to adjust how closely the output should match the prompt.
4. Click <kbd>Generate</kbd> .

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.acestudio.ai/ai-tools/sound-effects.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
